This information will help as you plan your camping trip to ALIVE and describe the festival to parents, group leaders, and advisors planning to help you bring a group. This camping experience will bring your group together and form bonds and relationships that will last a lifetime!

ALIVE has free primitive camping included with your Total Event Wristband. ALIVE’s camping staff will assign your group a site as you arrive. You must arrive together if you want to camp together. There are plenty of large areas and shaded campsites throughout Atwood Lake Park, and we have marked all campsites to help locate you and your group in the event of emergency. You will love Atwood’s beautiful 1500 acre lake and campground. Atwood Lake Park is one of the state’s most scenic camping areas. Campsites are assigned as you arrive, so there is no need to pre-register for a campsite. Bring your tents, pop-up camper, small trailer & vans. There are some picnic tables and grills around the park, but not everyone will have a table (so you may want to bring a folding table(s) / lawn chairs to sit on around the campsite.) Our primitive camping areas is just that, primitive.
The Alive Festival places campers each day from 9am until dark. You must arrive before dark in order to be given a campsite.
GENERATOR/RV & ELECTRIC CAMPSITES
If you would like to bring a generator, bring a motor homeover 26ft, or have electric at your campsite, you will need to purchase a Generator/RV, Standard Electric or Premium Electric Campsite. Order early, as only a limited number are available. Each electric site can accommodate 6 – 8 people. Call 330-966-0023 to reserve a site OR go to our ticket ordering page.
RESTROOMS & HOT SHOWERS
ALIVE and Atwood Lake Park have numerous clean and well maintained restroom facilities, lighted restroom trailers, and large walk-in units with nice private stalls, as well as restrooms and showers at the beach. ALIVE offers large, clean and well-maintained shower trailers with hot water all the time, for $15 in advance or $20 at the gate customer’s can get unlimited showers. Note: Some youth and teens will say swimming at the lake is as good as a shower. We will let you be the judge. There are also portable restrooms strategically placed throughout the park and festival site to avoid long lines and walking too far. ALIVE has paved roads and lighted walkways. (YES, we have paved roads to walk on in case of rain!)
ALIVE and Atwood Lake Park have handicap facilities, restrooms and transportation / parking available to accommodate all needs while at the festival. Special requests and questions can be directed to alivefest @ alive.org
FOOD & MEAL OPTIONS
You can either cook your own meals or buy from the numerous excellent and diverse food vendors on-site. Prices are reasonable, and everything from hamburgers, pizza, sausage sandwiches, ice cream, chicken strips, funnel cakes, lemon shake ups, and a variety of beverages, water and coffee are available at the festival throughout the park. ALIVE also has ice and firewood for sale in the Camping Store, along with any supplies and items you may need or forget to bring. The adjacent Atwood Lake Marina also has a full service restaurant and bistro. The ALIVE Café has breakfast items, coffee, cappuccino, lattes, and other snacks available until midnight.
ALIVE and Atwood Lake Park offer a variety of fun things to do along with the over 60 concerts, 25 seminars, worship, and workshops at ALIVE. Included in the recreational options are basketball, volleyball, swimming, hiking trails, fishing, kayaks, canoes, and pontoon and sail boat rentals at the marina.
FIRST AID / MEDICAL NEEDS
ALIVE and Atwood Lake Park have a central communication and first aid station for minor cuts, bruises, bug bites, etc., plus an EMT and ambulance service on-site throughout the festival. ALIVE and Atwood Lake Park also have a life-flight team and helicopter on-site. There are 5 major hospitals within a 30 – 45 minute drive of the park, and we also have emergency staff and teams on-site to manage the stages and crowd control. ALIVE’s safety and security teams are well trained in assisting our campers and crowd with any and all medical issues. If someone needs transported to a hospital, you can be assured we have our EMT and ambulance service waiting to help.
Yes, we allow small, contained campfires at campsites only. There is firewood available to purchase on-site, or you can bring your own wood. Note: Due to state laws, no firewood can be brought over state lines from Michigan or other states into the park due to bore ash disease. Firewood will be for sale at the festival in the Camping Store.
ALIVE and Atwood Lake Park have a beautiful beach and beach house for swimming at the lake with trained lifeguards on duty. There are restrooms, showers, and dressing rooms at the beach house near the swimming area. ALIVE does ask that modest swim suits be worn and that youth groups, church leaders and parents monitor the type of suits worn by their children and teens. As a Christian festival and family event, we maintain a policy that creates an atmosphere focused on modesty.
SEMINARS & WORKSHOPS
ALIVE offers a variety of seminars and workshops on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday of the 4 day festival at 10am, 1pm and 3pm in seminar tents and various stages. Seminars include 3-day series on Christian living for teens, healthy lifestyle/fitness, financial wisdom, parenting, adoption, discipline, fatherhood and sports, team building, competition, etc. All seminars are FREE and many nationally known speakers will be featured.
VENDING TENTS (Located at rear of Main Stage Amphitheater)
The vending tents have a huge ALIVE Festival store with ALIVE 2012 t-shirts, hats, hoodies, etc., an ALIVE music store, and a wide variety of other vendors selling t-shirts, hats, hoodies, jewelry, music (CDs, DVDs), band merchandise, and other miscellaneous items. Our vending tents also feature booths from colleges, organizations, and much more.
(Vending Tent Hours are noon to 11 pm all 4 days of ALIVE)
Tent closes for approx. 40 minutes during the evening speaker at Main Stage. The tent will be closed and evacuated during this time.
ALIVE has a prayer tent where those who have a prayer request or need can gather with others to pray. ALIVE is a inter-denominational festival that believes each church or family or youth group attending can be assured we will share JESUS and His love and life with everyone! We are not a church or a division of any other larger ministry or organization. ALIVE is a gathering for all believers in Jesus Christ and seekers! ALIVE attracts all denominations, different types of church groups and a variety of ministries who use this time to celebrate our faith in Jesus Christ!
ALIVE FESTIVAL GENERAL DAILY SCHEDULE:
Gates open at 9 am (Arrive sometime between 9 am and noon and set up.)
Concerts at Beach and Woods Stage start at 11 am.
Mainstage kicks off at 4 pm and around 11 pm.
ALIVE Café and is from 11:15 pm until midnight.
Be back at campsites by 12:30 am / Quiet time at 1 \ am.
THURSDAY – SATURDAY:
Worship is at 9 am at Beach Stage.
Seminars start at 10 am.
Concerts at Beach and Woods Stage start at 11 am.
Seminars (various artists and bands) are at 10 am and 3 pm
Main Stage starts at 4 pm and ends by 11 pm
ALIVE Café and Comedy Club runs 11:15 pm until midnight.
Be back to camp by 12:30 am
Quiet time at the festival site is 1 am. No walking around or leaving the campsites, unless an emergency, after 1 am. Quiet time is observed at 1 am as a courtesy to all campers.
Atwood Lake Park allows ALL Total Event Campers to stay at the park, relax and swim and enjoy the park until Sunday at 4 pm. Campers are asked to tear down and be packed up and out of the park by 4 pm. There are no official events taking place on Sunday. A worship service may take place Sunday morning in the Woods Stage.
